Effect of Randomness of Parameters on Amplification of Ground Motion in Saturated Sedimentary Valley

Based on Biot’s theory and the indirect boundary element method (IBEM), Monte Carlo is utilized to generate random samples calculate displacement response of a saturated sedimentary valley under SV wave incidence. The purpose this paper explore effects randomness porosity, permeability coefficient, geometric shape seismic amplification effect complex sites. It shown that change media porosity in site with defined has relatively little influence ground motion, coefficient slightly larger.
